Butler Police8:25 p.m. Tuesday — Robert E. Fair, 35, no known address, was arrested on an out-of-county warrant after police found him allegedly intoxicated behind the Laundromat on South Monroe Street.Police were initially called to the business for a report of a man asking for money there, according to court documents. He also was in the restroom for an extended period of time.Officers eventually found Fair in the rear perking lot. Police also learned that he was wanted on a bench warrant in Venango County.When officers advised the suspect of the warrant, documents said, he took a glass crack pipe from his pants pocket and smashed it on the ground.Fair was arraigned on charges of hindering apprehension or prosecution and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail following arraignment.

Evans City- Seven Fields PoliceWednesday — Police filed drunken and drugged driving charges against John B. Keegan, 32, of Forward Township stemming from an August traffic stop in Seven Fields.An officer stopped Keegan’s pickup truck after noticing that one of its head lamps was not working while traveling just after midnight Aug. 6 on Route 228 at Seven Fields Boulevard.Keegan, who smelled of alcohol, admitted that he had been drinking at a nearby bar, according to court documents. He was arrested after failing field sobriety tests.While searching the suspect, he was found with wax paper and an e-cigarette pipe containing marijuana, police said — he admitted smoking marijuana earlier that day.Police took Keegan to UPMC Passavant Cranberry for a blood test. They also took an inventory of his truck before it was towed.Inside, documents said, were five near-empty bottles of Jack Daniels whiskey and another bottle that was about three-quarters filled; a near-empty bottle of grain alcohol; and a three-quarter-filled bottle of wine.Additionally in the pickup, police said, they found two plastic bags containing a combined one-quarter ounce of marijuana; a small sheet of wax paper with marijuana oil on it; a bag containing psychedelic mushrooms; a bag with 14 unknown pills; and a marijuana pipe.Keegan is charged with driving under the influence of a combination of alcohol and drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and a lighting violation.Wednesday — Vernon L. Wise III, 56, of Penn Township was arrested for driving under the influence after he was stopped for speeding last week in Seven Fields.Police said they pulled over Wise about 11:55 p.m. Oct. 26 after he was timed traveling 57 mph in a 40 mph zone on Route 228 at Adams Ridge Boulevard, according to court documents.He is charged with DUI and speeding.

Grove City PoliceWednesday — Police charged Kevin J. Fleeger, 41, of Grove City with lying on his application July 8 when he tried to buy a gun at Morris Muzzleloading on West Main Street. He is charged with unlawfully attempting to buy a firearm, a felony, and making a false statement to authorities, a misdemeanor.

State Police, ButlerTuesday — Three compound archery bows were stolen from a home in the 500 block of Fallecker Road in Oakland Township. The property, owned by a 47-year-old woman, was taken between 7 p.m. Monday and 5 p.m. Tuesday.A police report did not indicate if there are any suspects. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.11:30 a.m. Wednesday — Daniel K. Rettig, 57, of East Butler lost control of his pickup truck and struck an embankment on Route 68 just south of O’Donnell Road in Donegal Township. He was cited for disregarding traffic lanes.

State Police, MercerThursday — An unknown thief overnight stole 13 political signs from the yard of a woman’s home on Schmidt Road in Liberty Township, Mercer County. A mailbox at the home also was knocked off its post.Wednesday — A would-be burglar tried to get into a house on Harrisville Road in Worth Township, Mercer County. The unknown suspect apparently attempted to pry open a window using a flat-head screwdriver.Police noted they do not known when the burglary happened and they have no leads in the ongoing investigation.11 a.m. Oct. 25 — Christian J. Rhodes, 43, was arrested on charges he failed to properly register as a sex offender after moving to his home in the 800 block of Franklin Road in Jackson Township, Mercer County.Rhodes was arraigned on a felony charge of failing to verify his address with police, as required under the state’s version of Megan’s Law. He was arraigned and released on $15,000 unsecured bail.
