BUTLER CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE

Gwen Atkinson will provide the music Sunday at Butler Church of the Nazarene, 4410 Oakdale Road and Route 68.

CHRIST COMMUNITY UNITED METHODIST

Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, will have a potluck dinner at noon Sunday in Oz Hall.

The First English Lutheran Church community dinner work team will meet at 4 p.m. Monday.

The NOW team will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

There is a sign-up sheet in the narthex for the mission trip to Connellsville.

COMMUNITY LIFE

Community Life Church holds service at McQuistion Elementary School.

The church will host a harvest party for children of all ages from 10:15 to 11:45 a.m. Saturday. There will be music, games and prizes. There also will be an emoji pumpkin contest. COVENANT PRESBYTERIAN

Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St., will have a cleaning day beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday.

The noisy offering of loose change will not be collected Sunday. Instead, loose change will be collected Nov. 13 for the benefit of Refreshing Springs Church in Aliquippa.

FIRST BAPTIST

Elementary students from First Baptist Christian School, a ministry of First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., will have a fall festival beginning at 10 a.m. Friday.

The Women’s Missionary Fellowship will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN

As part of Reformation Sunday worship, Jim Cunningham will play the trumpet at both worship services at First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St.

The last anti-racism workshop will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

In addition to regular Sunday school, youngsters will have “Friends and Treats” on Sunday.

GLADE RUN UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

The youth group of Glade Run United Presbyterian Church, 1091 Pittsburgh Road, Valencia, will have a lock-in Friday. Members will celebrate Halloween weekend with spooky games and snacks.

There will be a minute for mission Sunday to learn how to help raise funds for a tractor to be used at the Farm of Hope in Romania.

GRACE @ CALVARY LUTHERAN

Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., will celebrate the confirmation of Dakota Fox on Reformation Sunday.

Ladies Night Out will be at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 3 at Rock Ann Haven, 141 Greenwood Drive.

GRACEWAY

GraceWay meets at the Center Township Elementary School on Mercer Road.

Beth Ackelson, Tabiatha, Faith and Emily Snyder and Amber Crowe will provide music during the worship service.

HILL UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

The deacons will host a fifth Sunday luncheon following the worship service Sunday at Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St.

This is the first Sunday of the Harvest Home food collection. Jarred or canned foods will be received this week and could include canned meats, pasta sauce, fruits and vegetables; peanut butter; and other nonperishable food.

MARS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Mars United Presbyterian Church, 232 Crowe Ave., Mars, will celebrate All Saints’ Day at both Sunday services and remember those who died this year.

The congregation will host a bonfire at 5 p.m. Sunday at Quality Gardens, 409 Route 228, Valencia.

GriefShare will meet in the library at 7 p.m. Monday.

The worship committee will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the board room to discuss the holiday season.

The mission and outreach committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the board room.

OLD UNION PRESBYTERIAN

Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars, will have a church cleanup day beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday to prepare the grounds for winter. Participants should take yard and gardening tools.

RIDER LUTHERAN CHURCH

Rider Lutheran Church, 189 Rider Church Road, West Sunbury, will celebrate Reformation Sunday, and those attending the Sunday service will wear red.

The Bible study group will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

SAINT ANDREWS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St., will celebrate its Scottish Presbyterian Heritage Sunday with bagpipes and Celtic music and a luncheon with Scottish fare.

Springdale Lutheran

Springdale Lutheran Church, 1061 Mahood Road, West Sunbury, will mark Reformation Sunday and those attending the Sunday service will wear red. Holy Communion will be celebrated.

Those helping with Saturday’s spaghetti dinner will begin preparations at 8 a.m. Friday.

ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN

St. John’s Lutheran Church of Connoquenessing, 100 Main St., Connoquenessing, will celebrate Reformation Sunday with Holy Communion during the Sunday worship service.

ST. MARK'S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN

St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., will observe Reformation weekend and congregants will wear red.

Communion will be offered at all weekend worship services.

ST. PAUL ROMAN CATHOLIC

St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., will celebrate a Mass in Spanish at 2 p.m. Sunday.

St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic

A Mass to commemorate all souls will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 432 Center Ave.

TRINITY LUTHERAN

Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Drive, Center Township, will celebrate the Reformation at all services this weekend.

The Christian education committee will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The monthly women’s Bible study will be at 10 a.m. Nov. 3.

VALENCIA PRESBYTERIAN

Valencia Presbyterian Church, 80 Sterrett St., Valencia, will be have “Lunch with the Bunch” at 11 a.m. Sunday in the fellowship hall following the worship service. There will be an offering to donate to Hurricane Matthew victims.
