Community band to playHARRISVILLE — The Harrisville Community Band will present its annual fall concert at 7 p.m. Nov. 4 at the Harrisville Fire Hall, 313 E. Mercer St., Route 58. County youths star in showMIDLAND, Beaver County — Two Butler County students have the lead roles in “The Elephant Man,” the Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center’s production of the play based on the life of a physically deformed young man who lived in London during the latter part of the 19th century.John Atta of Cranberry Township will play the role of John Merrick, the Elephant Man. Dominic Skeele of Slippery Rock will play Dr. Fredrick Treves. Atta and Skeele are both 11th grade students at Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School.“The Elephant Man” opens Nov. 11 in the BlackBox Theater and continues Nov. 12 and 13 and 18 to 20.
