Woman accused of selling heroin, crack cocaine

A Butler woman is accused of selling heroin and crack cocaine to police informants.

The Butler County Drug Task Force charged Audrey M. McKivigan, 25, with drug trafficking and other charges stemming from a pair of cases earlier this year.

McKivigan on May 25 sold five stamp bags of heroin for $50 to an informant during a drug deal on Hazel Avenue in Butler, according to court documents.

A week later, task force officers said, she sold an unspecified amount of crack for $100 to an informant on June 1 outside a restaurant on Freeport Road in Summit Township.

McKivigan, who was already in the Butler County Prison for a probation violation, was arraigned Tuesday on two felony charges each of delivery of a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance

Additionally, she is charged with two misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance.

She is being held in the prison on $40,000 bail.

A preliminary hearing in the Butler case is set for Oct. 17. A hearing in the Summit Township case is set for Oct. 18.

Butler County Court records showed McKivigan is already awaiting trial on charges in two other unrelated cases — one for felony theft and the other for misdemeanor drug paraphernalia possession.
