As in years past, Bill May will lead a ghost walk laden with stories around Butler's downtown business district on Friday and Saturday nights from Oct. 21 to 29.
Nights featuring dark tales return for Halloween season

The Butler Ghost Walk returns on Friday and Saturday evenings from Oct. 21 to 29.

Beginning at 7:30 p.m., this 90-minute tour begins and ends in Butler's Diamond Park directly across from the Butler County Courthouse.

The Ghost Walk takes spectators on a guided walking tour of Diamond Park and the adjacent Main Street business district.

Participants will experience the ghosts from Butler's historic past through tour guide Bill May's stories, including those of Sam Mohawk, the old hospital, the haunted elevator, the Chinese laundry murder, the phantom Civil War regiment, and the girl who heard angels sing, among others.

Those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Cost is $10, and reservations can be made by calling 724-256-9026 or e-mailing butlerghostwalk@gmail.com.
