Woman dies from injuries months after bridge crash
PITTSBURGH — Authorities say a woman has died from injuries from a car crash earlier this year.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office over the weekend said 22-year-old Kaitlyn Kearns of Irwin died last week from injuries she suffered in a Valentine’s Day crash.
Police have said a man was driving on the Fort Pitt Bridge in Pittsburgh when he struck a portion of the bridge. Kearns and two other adults were passengers in the car.
Kearns had been severely hurt. The driver and a passenger reportedly suffered moderate injuries. Another passenger suffered a minor injury.
No one was wearing a seat belt, police said.
