Richard E. “Dick” Gobert

Richard E. “Dick” Gobert, 71, of Butler passed away Tuesday at the Butler Memorial Hospital.

He was born May 9, 1945, in Butler, to the late Ernest R. Gobert and Lila (Fair) Gobert.

Richard was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Cabot. He worked at Pullman-Standard as an overhead crane operator.

Richard enjoyed model railroading, building plastic model aircraft and was an avid train watcher. He also liked air shows and especially enjoyed good times with friends and family.

He is survived by one son, Robert E. Gobert of Allison Park, Pa.; one brother, Robert L. Gobert of Butler; one nephew, Timothy M. Sentgeorge of Willoughby, Ohio; and one niece, Laura Gleghorn and her husband, Bryan, of Beaver Falls.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Linda Sentgeorge.

GOBERT — A memorial service for Richard E. “Dick” Gobert, who died Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2016, will be at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 330 Hannahstown Road, Cabot, with the Rev. Barry Keurulainen officiating.Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.Arrangements by the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E.
