Catherine “Cassie” Elizabeth (Klee) McMahan, 79, of Butler, formerly of Mount Chestnut for 35 years, passed away early Friday morning at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

Born Dec. 18, 1936, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Iva Jane (Davison) Klee.

Cassie was a 1954 graduate of Butler High School, and then received her associate degree from Robert Morris College.

She enjoyed working as a secretary in local industry and in local churches.

She was a member of the Homeacre Chapel and a former member of the Grace Lutheran Church, both in Butler.

She will be remembered for singing in local musical groups, and her hobbies were flower gardening, handcrafts and music.

She is survived by her son, Brian David McMahan of Washington, Pa.; her daughter, Cathleen Elizabeth McMahan of Slippery Rock; her sister, Marjory L. (Klee) DiLullo of Butler; her grandchildren, Adam David McMahan and Briana Lynne McMahan; her nieces, Elizabeth Klee-Tissue and Rebekah Campbell; her nephew, Michael DiLullo; her great-nieces, Cody Parker, Emily Campbell, Angelina DiLullo and Lauren DiLullo; and her great-nephews, Ian Campbell, Kyle Campbell, Anthony DiLullo, James DiLullo, John DiLullo and Daniel DiLullo.

She was preceded by her husband, John “Jack” T. McMahan, who she married Jan. 24, 1958, and who passed away June 10, 2004.

MCMAHAN — Visitation for Catherine “Cassie” Elizabeth (Klee) McMahan, who passed away Friday, Aug. 5, 2016, will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main Street, Prospect.The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Homeacre Chapel, 340 Whitestown Road, with the Rev. David Fisher and the Rev. Timothy Boden, her church pastors, officiating. Interment will be in Annisville Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be given to the Homeacre Chapel Church, P.O.
