Sheila and Frederick “Fred” Berns

Frederick “Fred” and Sheila Berns of Butler will celebrate 50 years of marriage with a family dinner in Saxonburg.

Berns married the former Sheila Corbett on Sept. 10, 1966, at Saint Anne Roman Catholic Church in Castle Shannon.

They have three children, Wendy Berns of Butler, Barbara (Albert) Sarvey of Butler and Glen (Stephanie) Berns of Pittsburgh.

They also have three grandchildren.

Berns worked in sales and management. He is a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.

Mrs. was an office substitute at Sewickley Academy.

The Bernses are members of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
