BUTLER CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE

Butler Church of the Nazarene, 4410 Oakdale Road and Route 68, will have special music Sunday from Debby Shutak.

CHRIST COMMUNITY

The Red Church offering taken at both services Sunday at Christ Community United Methodist Church 205 North Duffy Road will benefit the Grapevine Center of Butler.

There will be a preschool meeting 12:30 p.m. Monday.

The First English Lutheran Church community dinner work team will meet at 4 p.m. Monday.

Newsletter items are due Wednesday.

COMMUNITY LIFE

Community Life Church holds service at McQuistion Elementary School.

The annual picnic will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Rotary Shelter of Butler Memorial Park, 100 Memorial Drive. Hot dogs, burgers and beverages will be provided. Take a large side dish to share.

COVENANT PRESBYTERIAN

Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St., is accepting school supplies and backpacks for Children and Youth Services through Sunday. There are collection boxes at the sanctuary entrances.

FIRST BAPTIST

The 2017 senior class of First Baptist Christian School, 221 W. New Castle St., will sponsor a yard sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday at King Cone Castle, 566 Evans City Road.

The Women’s Missionary Fellowship will meet at 1 p.m. Monday to help FBCS teachers with teaching materials.

The school will have a back-to-school night starting at 6 p.m. Tuesday for all parents, students and teachers.

Kids Klub for age 4 to fourth grade will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

The school will have a booth at the Butler Farm Show grounds from 5 to 9 p.m. Aug. 18.

GLADE RUN UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Glade Run United Presbyterian Church, 1091 Pittsburgh Road, Valencia, will host a women and children clothing swap and donate day from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday in its gym.

GRACE@CALVARY LUTHERAN

The fellowship and service committee of Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., will meet at 10 a.m. Friday in the ladies’ lounge.

Grace’s Closet, a free clothing bank, will be open from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday and from 5 to 7 p.m. Aug. 18. Donations of clothing for school-age children can be delivered from 9 a.m. to noon, Monday through Friday, when the church office is open or when the clothing bank is open.

The church council will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Men’s night out will be at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 18. The location will be announced.

GRACEWAY

GraceWay meets at the Center Township Elementary School on Mercer Road.

MaryAnn Mahan will provide the special music during the Sunday worship service

The GraceWay Community Church Community Cares will collect pasta and sauce Sunday.

HILL UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St., will prepare community lunches at 9:15 a.m. Sunday in the fellowship hall.

The Betsy McCormick Circle will clean the kitchen at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

The garden club will meet at 5 p.m. Aug. 18 to remove shrubbery. Volunteers should take their own tools.

The Memorial Handbell Choir will practice at 7 p.m. Aug. 18.

MARS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

GriefShare will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the library of Mars United Presbyterian Church, 232 Crowe Ave., Mars.

OLD UNION PRESBYTERIAN

Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars, invites sixth- through 12th-graders to join its youth group. The group will meet at 7 p.m. Sunday at the church. Plans for the group will be discussed.

Discovery Day will be Oct. 15 with the theme of forgiveness.

SAINT ANDREWS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St., will have the Weckerly corn roast at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Weckerly Farm. Hot dogs, buns, beverages and roasted corn will be provided. Take a dessert to share and chairs.

ST. MARK'S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN

The Rev. Jim Neal will be the guest minister for weekend services at St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St.

Holy Communion will be served at the Saturday worship service.

TRINITY LUTHERAN

Faithful Friends trip participants should be at Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Drive, Center Township, by 8 a.m. Saturday.

The church council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday.
