Butler Twp PoliceWednesday — Anthony M. Puglisi, 26, of Butler was charged with allegedly assaulting another man last month at Friedman’s supermarket at the Greater Butler Mart on Route 8 south.Police said they were called to the store about 2 p.m. July 26 for a fight. Officers learned that the fight stemmed from a disagreement between the suspect and Robert Fratto II.Puglisi is accused of punching Fratto in the face. He is charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment.Wednesday — Police charged Whitney Ann Tucker, 21, of Butler with a hit-and-run wreck last month at East Metzgar Avenue and South Main Street. She is accused of not stopping after the two-vehicle crash about 2:35 p.m. July 29.Tucker is charged with hit-and-run, driving with a suspended license, failing to stop and give information or render aid after an accident, failing to immediately notify police of an accident and a stop sign violation.10:23 a.m. Aug. 24 — Matthew M. Hensel, 26, of Butler and Mark W. Yockey, 46, of Cowansville, Armstrong County, were both caught with suspected drug contraband after police got a call for two suspicious men at the Greenview Gardens apartments complex.Officers found Hensel and Yockey walking on Old Plank Road. They are each charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Grove City Police3:02 p.m. Sunday — Amy E. Roser, 39, of Akron, Ohio, was arrested after she was caught allegedly shoplifting $44 in merchandise at the Dollar General store on West Main Street.Roser was arraigned on a misdemeanor count of retail theft, and placed in the Mercer County Jail on $2,500 bail.9:29 p.m. Friday — A dangerous prank in the 300 block of North Broad Street landed two boys, ages 13 and 15, in trouble. The youths are accused of jumping onto the road in front of oncoming traffic to scare drivers.The boys both face charges of disorderly conduct11:211 a.m. Friday — Brent Lee Miller, 33, of Parker was arrested on a bench warrant out of Butler County in connection with a retail theft. Miller was placed in the Mercer County Jail before being taken to the Butler County Prison

State Police, ButlerTuesday — A television remote control was stolen in a burglary at a home on Iris Lane in Brady Township. The break-in at the 25-year-old woman’s home happened between Saturday and Tuesday. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.Tuesday — A number of car parts were stolen from Walter’s Auto Wreckers on Route 68 in Forward Township. The theft happened between July 30 and Tuesday. Anyone with information is asked to call police.Sunday — A burglar made off with several lawn maintenance items from a home on North Franklin Street in Prospect. The burglary happened between July 30 and Sunday. Anyone with information is asked to call police.

State Police, ClarionMonday — Jessica Lynn Neely, 25, of Rimersburg was arrested after she made several calls to state police and the county’s 911 center for no apparent reason. She allegedly made six nuisance calls between Aug. 2 and Sunday.Neely was arraigned on charges of false alarms to agencies of public safety, retaliation against a witness of victim, seven counts of harassment and two counts of disorderly conduct. She is free on $5,000 bail.

State Police, Mercer3:45 p.m. Tuesday — Vehicles driven by Vincent A. Fronzaglio, 19, of McMurray, Washington County, and Jason A. Maybach, 31, of Jamestown, N.Y., crashed on Interstate 79 in Springfield Township. Police cited Fronzaglio for disregarding traffic lanes.3:10 a.m. Sunday — A car driven by Michael A. Chess, 34, of Greenville crashed into an embankment on Hadley Road just east of Grandview Drive in Perry Township, Mercer County. Chess told police he lost control of the car when he swerved to avoid a deer that jumped onto the road.

State Police, PunxsutawneyJuly 27 — The state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement cited the St. Cloud Hotel on Kelly’s Way in East Brady, Clarion County, for allegedly refilling liquor bottles on April 21. An administrative law judge will hear the case.
