James W. Hockeberry

James W. Hockeberry, 60, of Marienville, Pa., formerly of Woodland Park, Colo., died June 13 at his home in Marienville, Forest County.

He was born March 2, 1956, in Butler, the son of Evelyn J. (Double) Hockenberry, who survives in Renfrew, and of the late Gail M. Hockenberry.

Jim was an air traffic controller at the Colorado Springs Airport in Colorado, retiring in 2011.

He loved the solitude of the Marienville area and enjoyed all outdoor activities, especially hunting, fishing, hiking, snow skiing and camping with his daughters.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, where he received his ATC training.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Cameo R. and Ivy A. Hockenberry, both of Lyons, Colo.; his sister, LuAnn Mesesan and her husband, Timothy, of Harmony; and his nephew and niece, Andrew and Katie Mesesan, both of Colorado.
