JACKSON TWP — Two more phases of Jackson’s Pointe on Route 19 were approved Thursday by the township supervisors.

They gave the preliminary concepts the green light for phases three and four of the business park.

“We have had great support from the township, and we’re very appreciative of that,” said Buncher Co. Vice President Brian Goetz, who was at the supervisors meeting. “We’re excited for the opportunity for additional development.”

Both phases between Route 19 and Interstate 79 total about 64 acres and are on both sides of Lindsay Road. A hotel, restaurants and retail businesses are potential ideas for both phases.

The township also seeks to connect other nearby developments such as the park and ride and the FedEx distribution center with a series of walking and biking trails.

Goetz said although no businesses are as yet in play for either phase, there have been “a few” inquiries for phase two developments that could end up being in phase three.

“It’s early in the discussion,” Goetz said.

The Buncher Co., the real estate agency that owns the area, will have to present separate plans for approval for each individual development.

Both phases were recommended by the township planning commission earlier this month.

Phase four of the project also needs final approval by the state Department of Transportation.

Phase one of Jackson’s Pointe includes UPS, Protico, Red Bull and LabChem. The businesses are off Route 19 on Jackson’s Pointe Court. Warehouse distribution space also was created with the first phase.

Phase two had the building of a Speedway gas station and convenience store.

Developments already approved include a Penske Truck Rental facility and a 90,000-square-foot facility, two-thirds of which will house Bard Medical. The other one-third of the facility will be available for lease.
