Nicole A. McPherson
Nicole A. McPherson, 41, of Slippery Rock passed away Sunday, May 8, 2016.
She was born Oct. 18, 1974, in Grove City to Frank F. Glavan and Susan McPherson Glavan.
She graduated from Slippery Rock High School in 1993 and received her bachelor's degree from Slippery Rock University, majoring in parks and recreation. She later received her teaching degree from SRU.
Nicole worked as the apparel buyer for the SGA Bookstore at Slippery Rock University.
Nicole enjoyed making crafts, being outdoors and spending time on the water, particularly at Slippery Rock Creek. She was member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Slippery Rock and was an avid boccie player.
She is survived by her parents, Frank and Susan Glavan of Slippery Rock; her sister, Terri Glavan of Pulaski; her nephew, Craig Glavan of Ellwood City; her niece, Trina Craven of Pulaski; three uncles, James, Thomas and David McPherson; and her aunt, Patricia Muirhead.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her uncle, Joseph McPherson; and her aunt, Pamela.
MCPHERSON — The family of Nicole A. McPherson, who died Sunday, May 8, 2016, will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.A funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 670 S. Main St., Slippery Rock, with the Rev. Kevin Poecking presiding.Memorial contributions may be given to help with the new construction of the Slippery Rock Community Library, P.O.
