Butler Police11:35 p.m. Saturday — Matthew W. Hodak, 24, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend, Carissa Kelsea, during a domestic dispute at their home on Center Avenue.Hodak is accused of pushing Kelsea to the ground and forcibly holding her down. Kelsea suffered a bruised and swollen right knee and other bruising on her body, according to court documents.The suspect was arraigned on a charge of simple assault and released on his own recognizance.10:38 a.m. Saturday — Nicholas J. Campbell, 33, of Butler was arrested after he showed up at his mother's house on the 200 block of West Brady Street, where he had previously been barred.Campbell is accused of going to the home and starting an argument. He was earlier served with a “no trespass” notice there, according to court documents.When officers got there, they arrested the suspect, who also was wanted by Butler Township police on an arrest warrant in connection with a disorderly conduct case in April.Campbell was arraigned on charges of defiant trespass and disorderly conduct in the city case. He was placed in Butler County Prison on the warrant.3:31 a.m. Saturday — Terry Williams, 52, of Butler was caught with suspected crack cocaine and drug contraband after police found him passed out in a minivan at a convenience store on West Jefferson Street.The van was parked at the gas pumps at the A-Plus for about 45 minutes before police were called to check on the suspect, who was in the driver's seat. Officers had to rouse Williams before he came to, a police report said.Police said they found two anti-anxiety pills and two crack pipes in the door handle. Williams was subsequently searched and found with crack cocaine in one of his pants pockets.He is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and public drunkenness.10:18 p.m. Friday — Ivan J. Harvey, 33, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend, Ashlee Pyrick, during a domestic dispute at their apartment on Greenview Drive.Pyrick told police that Harvey shoved her into the kitchen sink. They also struggled over her cell phone, during which she was cut above the left eye, court documents said.Harvey, who is charged with simple assault, is free on his own recognizance.8:07 p.m. Friday — Matthew W. Saxton, 30, was arrested after he allegedly attacked his girlfriend, Brandi Whitacre, during a domestic dispute at their apartment on the 300 block of Franklin Street.Saxton is accused of throwing and breaking property in the home during an argument with Whitacre. She said he pulled her to the ground and put his knee into her chest, according to court documents.During the altercation, an earring was ripped out of Whitacre's right ear, which caused bleeding. She also injured her left forearm and right upper arm.When officers first got there, Saxton was gone. But he returned a short time later. He was arrested and found with three Suboxone strips in his waistband, police said.He was arraigned on charges of simple assault and possession of a controlled substance, and placed in Butler County Prison on $15,000 bail.
Butler Twp Police3:54 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Bidaw A. Morin, 18, of Butler struck another vehicle on Route 68 at Krenitsky Lane. Police cited Morin for following too closely to another vehicle. Caitlin Ramelli, 25, of Butler was the other driver.June 1 — Police charged Ryan S. Taylor, 20, of Butler with trying to buy alcohol with fake identification May 22 at the Wine and Spirits Store at Moraine Pointe Plaza. Taylor is charged with the attempted underage possession of alcohol, misrepresenting his age to buy alcohol and carrying a false ID card.
Grove City Police2:30 p.m. Monday — Two boys face charges after getting into a classroom fight at Grove City High School. Police cited both boys, ages, 15 and 17, for disorderly conduct.Monday — Police charged Angel L. Daugherty, 24, of Grove City with using a relative's credit card last month to make unauthorized purchases online. She allegedly racked up $317 in purchases May 11.Daugherty is charged with two counts of access device fraud.
State Police, Butler5:49 p.m. Tuesday — A pickup truck driven by Robert P. Connors, 45, of Ellwood City rear-ended a car on Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township. Connors fled the scene but later was found. He faces charges of hit-and-run, police said.Connors told police that the crash happened when he suffered a diabetic reaction. Laura J. Chionchio, 43, of New Castle was the other driver.
