CRANBERRY TWP — The original full-length musical “Willy Wonka,” based the book “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” by Roald Dahl, will run June 10 to 25 at the Comtra Theatre, Route 19.

The play is directed by Brent Rodgers.

The story of the world-famous candy man and his quest to find an heir comes to life in a visit to the mysterious chocolate factory.

The candy maker stages a contest by hiding five golden tickets in five of his candy bars. Whoever comes up with these tickets will win a free tour of the Wonka factory, as well as a lifetime supply of candy.

The children must learn to follow Mr. Wonka's rules in the factory — or suffer the consequences.

The musical features the songs from the 1971 film starring Gene Wilder.

Curtain is at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Tickets are $15. Visit comtratheatre.com.
