BC3 needs help in finding vandals who damaged campus

BUTLER TWP — Vandals spray-painted equipment, tipped over a port-a-potty and tossed around outside chairs at Butler County Community College over the Memorial Day weekend.

BC3 police are seeking the public's help in finding who ever did this.

A vandal spray-painted signs, construction equipment and a BC3 vehicle, according to President Nick Neupauer.

Jess Matonak, the interim director of communications and marketing, said the damage on the main campus also included a port-a-potty that was tipped over, a hose from the Public Safety Training Facility that was pulled from a wall, and tables and chairs on patio areas were tipped and thrown.

A residential garage close to the campus also was spray-painted.

Neupauer said college police are reviewing footage from the 30 surveillance cameras on campus, and the BC3 police are working with the Butler Township Police Department.

Any individuals who saw suspicious activity on main campus between 11 a.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. on Monday are asked to call BC3 police, Matonak said.

There is no estimate of the monetary damage yet as it still is being assessed, Matonak said.
