Robert D. Wiand Sr., 71, of West Sunbury, formerly of Lawrenceville, passed away Tuesday at his home.

Robert was born Nov. 15, 1944, in Pittsburgh. He was the son of the late Roy Wiand and the late Martha Kowalecki Wiand.

He was a retired machinist from Contravis Corp.

Robert is survived by his wife, Sharon McGinley Wiand; three daughters, Lisa (Gino) Ciotola of West Deer, Karla (Russell Honaker) Wiand of Allison Park and Kara (Mike) LaPorte of Pittsburgh; four sons, Robert “Butch”(Jodi Dinardo) Wiand, Jr., John (Jack) Wiand and James (Tammy Shaul) Wiand, all of Pittsburgh and Eric Wiand of Butler; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.; and one brother, William Wiand of Pittsburgh.

Robert was preceded in death by one son, David Wiand, and one brother, Frank Wiand.
