College town bans rooftop activitiesKUTZTOWN — A college town in eastern Pennsylvania has banned rooftop activities to keep students — and anybody else — from hanging out too far off the ground.Kutztown borough council announced it will ban all rooftop activities, except for maintenance. The borough about 60 miles northwest of Philadelphia is home to state-owned Kutztown University.Police Chief Craig Summers said he’s seen students hanging out on rooftops, which he says is extremely dangerous.The borough’s ban comes less than two weeks after a Penn State student was electrocuted by a power line and fell from a roof in State College.Some students say they like hanging out on rooftops and enjoy the view. But starting this fall that will carry up to a $600 fine.

Not guilty plea entered on chargesHARRISBURG — A central Pennsylvania man accused earlier of trying to assist the Islamic State group has pleaded not guilty to accusations that he tweeted out the names and addresses of military personnel with threats of violence.Jalil Aziz, 19, pleaded not guilty Tuesday to federal charges of solicitation to commit a crime of violence and transmitting a communication containing a threat to injure.
