CONNOQUENESSING TWP — A 43-year-old Armstrong County man who died of cancer last year will be memorialized at a truck pull next month at the Butler Farm Show grounds.

The Eric George Memorial Truck Pull will be at 2 p.m. June 4 at 625 Evans City Road,

It will feature street semi’s, hot street diesel, open diesel, sweet gasoline trucks, “Run What Ya Brung 4x4,” 2.5WS diesel, triaxle and other categories for contestants. Visitors also can test their truck’s power with test pulls between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The event is a fundraiser, and admission is $10 per person, with children age 10 and younger admitted for free. Proceeds will benefit George’s family.

George, 43, of Distant, Armstrong County, died in December 2015 after a long battle with cancer.
