Riding for Cure events scheduled

Multiple fundraisers to fight cancer are planned this summer in Butler County.

Three scheduled Riding for the Cure events are:

- The second annual Riding for the Cure Bowl-A-Thon will be from 6 to 9 p.m. May 27 at Family Bowl-A-Way in Butler.

The cost is $20 for adults, $12 for children ages 6 to 12, and free for children under 6. Attendees can be assigned to a team or form their own. There also will be a ticket auction, pizza, soft drinks, a bake sale, a 50/50 raffle, and prizes.

- Mazzanti’s Beans & Cream on Route 8 in Center Township will hold a 10-year celebration at 1 p.m. June 4.

Proceeds from a raffle and activities will support Riding for the Cure.

There will be a Butler Area Street Machine Association Car Cruise, a Dunk A Muz Tank, activities for children and families, a 50/50 raffle, food, prizes and vendors.

- The fifth annual Riding for the Cure photo shoot will be at 2 p.m. June 26 at Butler Athletic Field on Cliff Street. The photo shoot is for breast cancer awareness, so people must wear pink to be in the photograph.

The first 300 people to sign up will be able to align in the shape of a ribbon for a photograph to be taken at 4 p.m.

There will be a party at Rock Ann Haven following the photo shoot.
