EMLENTON — Linda Fisher has joined Farmers National Bank of Emlenton as vice president, senior credit officer.
She will oversee the bank’s credit administration and credit approval process, loan procedures and policies.
Fisher has more than 26 years of service in the commercial real estate industry with extensive experience in loan origination, risk assessment and compliance.
She received her undergraduate degree from Seton Hill College and earned her master’s of business administration from the University of Pittsburgh Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business.
She is a member of the Pitt Business Alumni Association board of directors and for the past two years has been chairman of the Katz Alumni Scholarship Committee.
[naviga:h3]Howard Hanna renovates office[/naviga:h3]
SEVEN FIELDS — Howard Hanna Real Estate Services on May 12 had a grand re-opening of its Adams Township/Seven Fields office at 100 Highpoint Drive off Route 228.
Expanded and redesigned to accommodate 45 sales associates, the office is led by sales director Kelly Hanna Riley.
Expanded from about 2,000 square feet to more than 4,500 square feet, the office was redesigned for mobile devices, desk spaces with charging capabilities for laptop computers, high tech wall screens, meeting space and Skype video conferencing.
The office has 35 sales associates.
[naviga:h3]Mortgage rate rises slightly to 3.58%[/naviga:h3]
WASHINGTON — Long-term U.S. mortgage rates were little changed this week at or near their lows for the year.
The low rates come amid the spring home buying season, which is drawing prospective purchasers.
Mortgage buyer Freddie Mac said Thursday that the average 30-year fixed-rate mortgage ticked up to 3.58 percent from 3.57 percent last week. It’s far below its level a year ago of 3.84 percent.
The average rate on 15-year fixed-rate mortgages was steady at 2.81 percent.

- Alan “Pete” Dickson of J&J Fire Protection Co. of Butler has completed the NICET Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems Certification, Level II. He will work to complete the Level III certification.
- David Lee Meister of Cranberry Township received a 50-year member Award from the Pennsylvania Bar Association at its annual meeting May 13 in Hershey.
- Chris Slagle of Cranberry Township, culinary team member at the LongHorn Steakhouse in Cranberry, was recently recognized as the regional winner of the company’s Steak Master Series competition. He is one of just 60 from LongHorn Steakhouse to achieve this distinction.
- Glenn Thompson of Butler won a photography contest inspired by “Ansel Adams: Eloquent Light,” an exhibition of Adams’s photographs at Reynolda House Museum of American Art in Winston-Salem, N.C. More than 300 people submitted photographs for the competition.
