Pennsylvania American Water donates to fireworks
Officials from Pennsylvania American Water presented Butler Mayor Tom Donaldson with a $4,500 check for the Independence Day fireworks, to be shown after the Blue Sox’s game on Monday, July 4 at Kelly Automotive Park.
“Through the generosity of the businesses that serve the community, (Pennsylvania) American Water being one of the first that has always stepped up to donate, we hopefully continue the fireworks in the city of Butler,” Donaldson said.
The amount is the same that Pennsylvania American Water gave last year, while Peoples TWP gave $11,000. for a $15,5000 show done by Zambelli Fireworks of New Castle.
“I think we’ll be able to get $15,000,” Donaldson said. “If we get more than that we’ll bump the show up (in quality).”
