District Judge Sue Haggerty arraigned Patterson on a charge of possession of a small amount of marijuana. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $1,000 bail following arraignment.

Police said an officer found Patterson and the other suspects, both 19, in a car that was parked under the General Butler Bridge about 11:40 p.m. March 15.

When the officer got to the car, court documents said, she smelled a “strong odor” of marijuana, coming from it.
