12:47 a.m. April 17 — Police pulled over a car on Three Degree Road driven by a man allegedly high on marijuana.

Aaron L. Perri, 23, of Allison Park was found to have an unlawful amount of THC in his blood, according to court records.

A search of the car yielded a small amount of marijuana, a scale, a grinder, a pipe and baggies.

Two passengers in the car also admitted to smoking marijuana, so the car was towed.

Perri was charged with DUI controlled substance, general impairment, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and prohibited acts — possession of a controlled substance, all misdemeanors.

Monday — A Gibsonia man is accused of making illegal recordings of conversations he had with the victim of a crime.

Richard Cranmer, 33, of Gibsonia was charged with one count of intercept communications, a felony.

In September 2014, he allegedly recorded multiple conversations with police and with Jon Jackson, regarding the burglary of Jackson’s home in the township, according to the criminal complaint.

Jackson lived with his mother Kelly Jackson, who Cranmer had recently broken up with. Cranmer allegedly posted the recordings to Facebook.

In an interview with police, he said that he records all his phone conversations and has a “God-given right to protect himself.”

Case law allows Cranmer to secretly record conversations with police, but not with the victims of a crime, according to the complaint.

He was arraigned and released on his own recognizance.

Tuesday — Joseph M. Serventi, 62, of Cranberry Township was charged with DUI with a blood-alcohol level of between 0.1 and 0.16 percent from a traffic stop. The state limit for drunken driving is 0.08 percent.

He also was charged with driving an unregistered vehicle and no rear lights, both summary offenses.

5:30 p.m. Wednesday to 6:40 p.m. Thursday — An unknown person took a bottle of prescription medication for Norco from an apartment at 112 S. Butler St. in Clintonville in Venango County.

3:04 p.m. Wednesday — Raymond Dougherty, 40, of Ford City, was driving west on Route 422 in East Franklin Township when he pulled his vehicle in front of the vehicle of Priscilla Dougherty, 68, of Ford City, causing her vehicle to slide into the tractor of Andrew Claypoole, 20, of Kittanning.

Raymond Dougherty was uninjured, while Priscilla Dougherty and her passenger, Jonathan Johns, 27, of Ford City, suffered injuries. Priscilla Dougherty was transported by ambulance to Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, while Johns was flown to Pittsburgh for treatment. Claypoole was uninjured.

Two stop signs and a guide rail were damaged, while all three vehicles were towed from the scene.
