EMLENTON, Venango County — The Farmers National Bank of Emlenton hired Sarah Palmer as vice president, commercial loan officer.

She will be responsible for developing and expanding business relationships in the Greater Pittsburgh region.

Palmer of Mercer County has more than 10 years of banking and lending experience.

She is the finance committee chairman and treasurer on the board of directors for LindenPointe Development Corp., and vice chairman of Shenango Valley Professionals.

Palmer is enrolled at Stonier Graduate School of Banking and Wharton School Leadership through The University of Pennsylvania and the American Bankers Association with undergraduate studies at Clarion University.

[naviga:h3]Hospital opens lab in Saxonburg[/naviga:h3]

SAXONBURG — Allegheny Valley Hospital has opened a new lab draw station in the borough.

The Saxonburg Lab Draw Station, 333 W. Main St., Dinnerbell Square, Suite 105, is one of six such stations the hospital has.

Patients in need of blood draws for diagnostic or routine testing may walk-in with no appointment needed. The Saxonburg office is open from 7 a.m. to noon, Monday through Friday and most major insurance plans are accepted.

Allegheny Valley operates other stations in the Heights Plaza in Natrona Heights, on Leechburg Road in Lower Burrell, at the AVH Outpatient Care Center on Longfellow Street in Vandergrift and at the AVH Outpatient Care Center on Fourth Avenue in New Kensington.

<h3>Infectious disease doctor at BMH</h3>Dr. John Love has joined Butler Health System's medical staff.Love earned his undergraduate degree at Harvard University and his medical and doctorate degrees from Boston University School of Medicine. He completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Chicago and a fellowship in infectious disease at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.He was a staff physician/instructor at Boston Medical Center and Boston University Medical Center for four years.Love is board certified in internal medicine and infectious disease.He is seeing patients at Butler Memorial Hospital as part of its Infectious Disease group.
