BUTLER CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE

Butler Church of the Nazarene, 4410 Oakdale Road and Route 68, will give a gift to all mothers present Sunday.

CHRIST COMMUNITY UNITED METHODIST

Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, will have a Red Church offering Sunday to benefit the youth mission trip to Florida.

The men’s breakfast will be at 8 a.m. Monday at Kings Restaurant, 191 New Castle Road.

The First English Lutheran Church work team will meet at 4 p.m. Monday.

The Gals’ Book Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday.

The finance committee will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Food cupboard items for May are ketchup, mustard and mayo.

CHRIST'S OUTREACH

Christ’s Outreach Church, 120 Walker Ave., will celebrate Mother’s Day at the Sunday morning service.

The board of directors will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Friday is the deadline for information and agenda items.

COMMUNITY LIFE

Community Life Church holds service at McQuistion Elementary School.

There will be a baby and small child dedication at Sunday’s Mother’s Day service.

COVENANT PRESBYTERIAN

All women will receive a carnation at the Sunday worship service as part of “A Celebration of Women: A Tribute” at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St.

The People for Peace Bible study group will meet at 11 a.m. May 12 in the assembly room.

FIRST BAPTIST

First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., will have a noon luncheon after the Sunday morning worship service.

The women’s missionary fellowship will be at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Baptist Youth Center.

FBC Connecting Threads will meet at noon Tuesday at Mac’s Route 8 Café, 16 Pittsburgh Road.

FIRST BAPTIST OF EVANS CITY

First Baptist Church of Evans City, 242 S. Washington St., Evans City, will have a prayer meeting at 10 a.m. Sunday followed by a worship service.

The nursery is available for children younger than 4. Children ages 5 to 10 can participate in the LightKeeper’s ministry during the worship service.

GLADE RUN UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

The choir from the after-school program at Glade Run United Presbyterian Church, 1091 Pittsburgh Road, Valencia, will sing at both Sunday worship services for Mother’s Day.

Sunday is the deadline for mission trip donations. The mission team will travel to Puerto Rico and work in an orphanage doing children’s ministry with puppets. They also will lead a sports camp in the city of Caguas.

GRACE@CALVARY LUTHERAN

GLOW youth group of Grace@Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., will be at Lutherlyn’s CampBlast from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. For drop-off and pickup times, call 724-283-0830. Friday morning is the deadline for reservations.

Marty’s Marchers will have a bake sale at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Boscov entrance inside the Clearview Mall. Deliver donations to the church Friday or to the mall Saturday.

Sunday is the reservation deadline for the women’s spring banquet.

The finance committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and the worship and music committee will meet at 7 p.m.

GRACEPOINTE

GRACEWAY

GraceWay meets at the Center Township Elementary School on Mercer Road.

Lyric and Beth Ackleson, Joyce Moore and Patty Miller will provide the special music for the Mother’s Day Sunday worship service. There will be a special gift presentation to all mothers present.

GraceWay will collect peanut butter and jelly for community outreach at the Sunday worship service.

HILL UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

The Memorial Handbell Choir will play at the Sunday worship service at Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St.

The Mother’s Day tea will be at noon Saturday in the fellowship hall. Susan Catanzarito will present a program on quilts.

Layette Sunday will be observed this week and May 15. New and gently used items for infants and children younger than 2 will be received.

HOMEACRE CHAPEL

Dave Arnold and Solomon Gorvie will speak at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Homeacre Chapel, 340 Whitestown Road. Arnold is the founder and director of World Evangelistic Outreach Ministries and Gorvie, a native of Sierra Leone, is that country’s director.

MARS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

The youths of Mars United Presbyterian Church, 232 Crowe Ave., Mars, will have a Mother’s Day performance at 9:45 a.m. Sunday in the church sanctuary with refreshments after the performance. There will not be a youth group meeting Sunday.

GriefShare will meet at 7 p.m. Sunday in the library room.

The confirmation class will meet with the session at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

MT. CHESTNUT PRESBYTERIAN

Mt. Chestnut Presbyterian Church, 727 Old West 422, will offer special Mother’s Day worship services Sunday.

The annual church rummage sale will be from 9 a.m. to noon May 17.

NORTH MAIN ST. CHURCH OF GOD

The 60 Plus or Minus group of North Main Street Church of God, 1201 N. Main St. Ext., will host a patriotic celebration at noon May 12. The program will feature David Cord, director of VA Butler Healthcare, and music by Charles Powell and Joyce Hall.

ST. LUKE'S LUTHERAN

St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 310 W. Main St., Saxonburg, will celebrate Mother’s Day Sunday. Communion will be shared at the 9:30 a.m. contemporary service.

The outreach ministry team will lead the 2 p.m. Sunday worship at Saxony Health Center, 223 Pittsburgh St., Saxonburg.

Sr. Stars/55+ group will visit the Birdwatchers Store and lunch at Elephant and Castle in Grove City Wednesday. To car pool, meet at 10 a.m. at the church.

ST. MARK'S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN

St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., will give all women a potted flower at all worship services this weekend.

Second-year confirmation students will meet with the church council at 7 p.m. Sunday in the fellowship hall for testing.

The prayer shawl group will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the church lounge.

TRINITY LUTHERAN
