RECORD EFFORT — Butler junior Bill Rose trails teammate Mike Franko in the second lap of a two-mile race at the home track meet against Sharon on April 23, 1968. Rose soon got in front and set a strong pace that earned him a new stadium record of 10:05. Franko placed second with a 10:31.
