Health clinic worker wins employee award
FRANKLIN TWP — Beth Foringer wears several hats as director of case management at the Community Health Clinic of Butler County.
She provides service to patients, works with social service agencies, supports staff and volunteers, and oversees the outreach committee.
Now, she can don one more hat: Butler County Employee of the Year.
Foringer, who lives in Valencia with her husband, Matt, and the couple's daughter, Eva, was named Employee of the Year at the Butler County Chamber of Commerce's 22nd annual Employee Appreciation Day Luncheon on Thursday. More than 125 people attended the lunch at The Atrium.
Foringer provides comprehensive case management to patients, interacts with other social service agencies to connect patients with needed resources, provides support to staff and volunteers, and oversees the clinic's Outreach Committee to educate the community.
Foringer, who has been an employee of the clinic since 2007, was nominated by clinic volunteer James Neutrelle. In his nomination letter, Neutrelle said that despite her many duties Foringer is the “consummate professional.”
He wrote Foringer is the “constant” in keeping the focus of the clinic positive and viable in an organization that has seen a lot of change in personnel.
He added that Foringer is the “go to” person for staff and volunteers because of her knowledge about the wide range of services available in the county and the changes in health insurance.
He said last year, along with her other duties, she organized a float for the Butler Spirit of Christmas Parade, coordinated the Music for Medicine benefit concert, and the Signature Sensation fundraising event in the absence of the clinic's CEO.
Neutrelle wrote: “I feel privileged to work with such a caring, outstanding individual and feel that Beth Foringer deserves to be named the Butler County Employee of the Year — in my estimation, the employee of the decade.”
After being presented with the award, Foringer said she was surprised to receive it. She said she loves her job, and the employees and volunteers with whom she works.
“I'm elated and without words. I love the environment that I work in. It's a pleasure to work with the large number of volunteers we have,” she said.
“This job is always changing, but it can't be compared to anything else. I love what I do and the people we serve.”
The Community Health Clinic of Butler County is a nonprofit, volunteer organization, which serves patients 19 to 64 years of age. It provides primary health and dental care to uninsured and income-eligible county residents.
