Adams Twp. Police10:20 a.m. April 10 — Police pulled over a pickup truck with a North Carolina plate on Three Degree Road and allegedly discovered illegal weapons and drug paraphernalia inside.The driver of the truck, Douglas M. Smith, 36, of Beaver Falls was placed under arrest for a bench warrant from state police in Washington County for a possession of drug paraphernalia charge.Upon searching the vehicle, police allegedly discovered a grinder and a glass pipe containing marijuana residue, a black handle knife and a pair of metal knuckles with a “spotted blood covered bandage wrap,” according to court records.A passenger of the truck told police the drug paraphernalia was his, but Smith later stated everything in the truck was his. The passenger was not charged.Smith is charged with prohibited offensive weapons and possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors, and multiple summary offenses including duties at a stop sign, driving while operating privilege revoked and fraudulent use of a registration plate. He is free on $5,000 bail from the Washington County case.April 11 — A township woman is accused of making a false statement to police after a car accident.Bonnie Herp, 55, faces one misdemeanor charge for false report.Herp and Dave Cline were in a minor accident April 6 in the parking lot of Mars Middle School, according to court records.Herp allegedly told police that her car was not running and Cline backed into her, but after inspecting video surveillance footage from the school, police found that both vehicles were backing up at the time of the accident.Butler Twp. Police7:21 p.m. March 27 — Ian Linkhauer, 30, of Butler, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Police were serving Linkhauer a warrant in a Walmart parking lot when they discovered Linkhauer was in possession of the paraphernalia.

State Police, Kittanning6:50 Friday — A 36-year-old white male was stopped for driving under the influence and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. The DUI charge is pending the results of a blood-alcohol test.
