Patricia F. “Pati” Roman

Patricia F. “Pati” Roman

Patricia F. “Pati” Roman, 58, of Butler, the beloved wife of David and loving mother of Ryan and Jessica, departed her earthly home Monday.

Born Oct. 12, 1957, in Pittsburgh, Pati's life was centered around the most treasured of life's purpose: family and her Christian faith.

A graduate of St. Thomas High School, Pati embraced a theme of caring for others, beginning a nursing education and then transitioning to a successful supportive role with a chiropractor, Dr. Matz.

In 1979, there was a life changing intersection at a Steelers Super Bowl Party hosted by her parents. She met the love of her life, David, who she married Aug. 15, 1980.

Pati's dedication to her family, loving, caring, teaching and mentoring, was also the foundation of her imprint and success in her vital role as a teacher to children in catechism and Sunday school.

Her avocation was cooking and baking, delighting the masses over the years with her extraordinary cooking and baking magic. She was renowned for exquisite culinary delights, easily exceeding anything viewed on the Food Network.

But these talents pale in comparison to her love and devotion for David, Ryan and Jessica. Her family and faith embody a life well lived and an extraordinary legacy.

Pati's impact on so many lives can best be summed up in her fond reflection from the Wizard of Oz.

“And remember, my sentimental friend, a heart is not judged by how much you love, but by how much you are loved by others.”

Pati was deeply loved and will be deeply missed …

Surviving are her husband, David of Butler; her daughter, Jessica of Washington, D.C.; and her son, Ryan of Butler.

Pati was preceded in death by her parents, Marcie and Jack Flaherty.
