NexTier receives educational awardNEW YORK — NexTier Bank was honored at the second annual Innovation in Financial Education Awards presented by Nasdaq and EverFi.Its award recognizes NexTier’s efforts to improve the financial capability of Americans through digital learning initiatives. Thirty-five institutions were honored with this distinction April 6 at Nasdaq Marketsite in New York City.NexTier has partnered with EverFi to bring the Financial Scholars Program to students and has reached more than 534 students since 2013. It uses simulation and gaming technologies to bring complex financial concepts to young people.
