Some water lines to be improved in Butler, Saxonburg
Pennsylvania American Water will replace more than three miles of aging water main in Butler County.
The work is being done to improve service reliability and increase water flow for firefighting. The combined cost of these system improvements is approximately $3.1 million.
In Butler, lines will be replaced on Hansen Avenue, Route 8 and North Bluff Street. In Saxonburg, work will be done on South Rebecca Street and West Water Street.
The company expects to complete pipe installation, service connection tie-ins and final paving restoration by late summer.
During construction, customers might experience temporary service interruptions, discolored water or lower than normal water pressure.
