County board raises specter of more borrowing
The Butler County commissioners are considering refinancing 2006 borrowing and acquiring new financing to pay for nearly $6 million in capital projects.
The commissioners this morning directed bond counsel Anthony Ditka to craft an ordinance for possible approval April 13. Initially, the wording will set a cap to not exceed $10 million, but Commissioner Leslie Osche, board chairman, said the actual amount could be lower.
The most costly project is an estimated $4.5 million to replace all the aggregate panels on the exterior of the county government center, which are rotting. The building was constructed in 1991.
