ZELIENOPLE — The dates have been set for the 53rd annual Horse Trading Days this year.

The annual three-day festival, which draws about 40,000 people, is scheduled for July 14-16.

The festival was approved by borough council Monday evening.

“So far, everything is full steam ahead,” festival organizer Matthew Edwards said.

Edwards said the festival has approval to use the Connoquenessing Valley Elementary School’s parking lot. A shuttle bus will be used to take visitors to and from the festival as in previous years.

The borough has $3,400 budgeted to sponsor the festival.
