Butler Police6:25 p.m. Monday — David J. Krack, 43, of Butler was hurt when a car struck the bicycle he was riding at West Penn and Broad streets. Krack, who was wearing a helmet, suffered a minor injury.Police said the accident happened as Daniel G. Herr, 47, of Butler was westbound in a 2013 Nissan Altima and Krack was traveling east on West Penn Street. The car struck the bike as Herr was turning left onto Broad Street.Herr and Krack each said he stopped before the accident. The police report noted there were no witnesses. No charges were filed. The car and bike both had minor damage.8:12 p.m. March 5 — A car driven by Brittany L. Lambing, 24, of Butler and a pickup truck driven by Shane A. Rine, 47, of Connoquenessing Township collided at Locust and Elm streets.Lambing, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered a minor injury. Police cited her for a stop sign violation.

Butler Township PoliceWednesday — Police charged Emily Myers, 21, of Butler with stealing $1,160 in merchandise from the Butler Commons’ Walmart between November and February when she was employed there. She is charged with a misdemeanor count of retail theft.5:10 a.m. Tuesday — Vehicles driven by Donald Forcht, 56, and Kayla Molczan, 28, both of Butler, collided at Route 68 and Acre Avenue.

Grove City Police2:12 p.m. Tuesday — Deanne M. Gibson, 36, of Oil City, Venango County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at North Street and Route 208.Tuesday — A nebulizer, valued at $10, was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 200 block of West Poplar Street. The device, used to treat asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and other respiratory diseases, was taken between 8:30 p.m. Monday and 6 p.m. Tuesday.Tuesday — An unleashed dog landed its owner, Todd V. Wigton, 52, in trouble with the law. The boxer-type dog ran at and frightened a female walking on the sidewalk across from Wigton’s home in the 400 block of Bessemer Avenue.Police cited Wigton for failing to confine or control his dog.Sunday — A vandal armed with a sharp instrument damaged a wall in a restroom at Leisure Time Laundry on West Main Street. The vandalism happened between Friday and Sunday.

State Police, ButlerMonday — Police obtained an arrest warrant for Gary D. Ellenberger, 53, on charges he attacked his juvenile daughter during a domestic dispute last week at their home in the 300 block of Cherry Road in Fairview Township.Ellenberger is accused of grabbing his child by the neck, pushing her to the ground and punching her in the face several times, court documents said. The girl suffered a bloody nose and bruised forehead.The defendant, who fled his home before police got there, is charged with simple assault and harassment.Monday — Brandi L. Balfour, 35, of Cranberry Township was charged with illegally trying to buy a gun last fall at a Moraine Pointe Plaza store in Butler Township.The suspect is accused of lying on her application to buy a combination rifle shotgun on Nov. 14 at Dunham’s Sports.Balfour is charged with unlawfully attempting to purchase a firearm, a felony. Additionally, she faces a misdemeanor charge of making a false statement to authorities.11:40 p.m. Saturday — Russell M. Digiacomo, 53, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his younger brother during a get-together at the suspect’s home on Route 38 in Concord Township.The victim, 50-year-old Daniel M. Digiacomo, told police that the social gathering with his sibling turned unsociable when the two men started arguing. The defendant tackled his brother, who dislocated his shoulder.Daniel Digiacomo ended up at Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment of his shoulder and an injured elbow.Russell Digiacomo was eventually arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and released on $2,500 unsecured bail.

State Police, FranklinWednesday — Coins worth $300 to $400, which were in a coffee can, were stolen in a burglary at a home in the 200 block of Barkey Hoffman Road in Irwin Township.A police report did not indicate if there are any suspects in the break-in that happened between Feb. 28 and Wednesday.Wednesday — Police reported they charged a Chicago man with misdemeanor drug possession stemming from a traffic stop about 7:40 a.m. March 9 on Interstate 80 in Irwin Township.The suspect, 28-year-old David Brooks, was stopped for a window tint violation. A search turned up suspected marijuana and other contraband. Brooks is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

State Police, KittanningWednesday — A 34-year-old Pittsburgh man is suspected of stealing prescription narcotics from the Freeport EMS station on Market Street in Freeport. The medication was taken between 11:30 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.A police report did not identify the suspect as the investigation continues.
