2 listeriosis cases linked to Pa. farmHARRISBURG — Health authorities say two 2014 cases of listeriosis — one of them fatal — have been linked to a central Pennsylvania dairy that supplies raw milk to private buyers around the country.The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said one person in California and another in Florida became infected from raw milk in 2014, and the Florida victim died. Officials said that case was likely due to milk from Miller’s Organic Dairy located in Bird-in-Hand in Lancaster County.Miller’s Organic Farm isn’t licensed by or inspected by the state agriculture department. It does business via mail order to a membership club.
Home sales decline during FebruaryWASHINGTON — Americans retreated from home-buying in February, reversing months of prior gains as low inventories push up prices to levels that restrict sales.The National Association of Realtors said Monday that sales of existing homes fell 7.1 percent last month to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 5.08 million. The decline follows robust yearly sales rates of 5.47 million in January and 5.45 million in December.
