Former Alcoa leader set to be honored

Paul O'Neil, former Alcoa president and former U.S. Secretary of Treasury. St. Barnabas Charities regarding Founder's Day.

RICHLAND TWP — Paul O’Neill will be honored next month at the 116th St. Barnabas Founder’s Day celebration.

O’Neill will receive the Hance Award, given each year to an outstanding American by St. Barnabas.

Founder’s Day will be April 28 at the Marriott Pittsburgh North in Cranberry Township.

O’Neill led Alcoa as chairman and chief executive officer and was chairman of the RAND Corporation. He also was the 72nd U.S. Secretary of the Treasury under President George W. Bush and researched aid to Africa with U2 rock star Bono.

All attendees are welcome to the silent auction and wine cellar lottery.

Proceeds benefit the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund, which supports nursing home patients who cannot afford their care.
