Butler PoliceFriday — Randy Lee Christofano, 29, of Butler was charged with drunken driving stemming from a suspected hit-and-run crash last month on Pepper Street.A witness called police to report the wreck Feb. 17. The suspect is accused of driving a pickup truck that struck the parked vehicle belonging to the caller’s grandfather, according to court documents.The caller followed the suspect, later identified as Christofano, while reporting the wreck. Police a short time later found the defendant who appeared intoxicated.A breath test subsequently showed Christofano’s blood-alcohol level was 0.231 percent, documents said, nearly three times the state’s 0.08 percent legal limit.In addition to driving under the influence, he is charged with hit-and-run and driving without insurance.

Buffalo Twp. PoliceFriday — Gerald A. McNally, 22, was arrested on charges of forging several checks belonging to his father that he allegedly stole last month from the family’s home in the 200 block of Silverville RoadPolice suspect McNally on Feb. 12 took a checkbook, without his father’s permission, and forged at least four checks. Three of the checks were returned after the account was closed once the theft was discovered, according to court documents.The defendant was able to cash one check for $250, police said.McNally was arraigned on four felony counts of forgery. He also was arraigned on four counts of identity theft and one count each of theft by deception and theft by unlawful taking, all misdemeanors. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail following arraignment.

Butler Twp. PoliceMonday — Police reported that a 17-year-old student at Butler High Schoo l was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, possession of alcohol by a minor and possession of tobacco on school property stemming from a call last month. The suspect was caught with the substance and contraband Feb. 18.10:43 p.m. Friday — A vehicle driven by Alisha A. Horstman, 41, of Herman struck an embankment on New Castle Road. A police report noted five girls were riding in the vehicle but no one was injured. Horstman was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.

Grove City PoliceSaturday — An unknown vandal used black paint to scrawl graffiti on a parking garage wall at the Pine Grove Garden Apartments on Flower Avenue. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-458-792511:45 p.m. Friday — Terrance J. Williams, 20, was arrested after he allegedly shoved his pregnant wife into a wall during a domestic dispute at their Enclave Drive home. He also is accused of putting an 18-year-old victim in a choke hold at the home.William was arraigned on a charge of simple assault and placed in the Mercer County Jail on $10,000 bail.6:33 p.m. Friday — Manitou J. Snow, 22, of Grove City was nabbed with a “large amount of drugs” following a traffic stop at South Broad and West Main streets.Snow was arraigned on two counts each of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance, and 10 counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. He also was cited for speeding. The suspect was placed in the Mercer County Jail on $25,000 bail following arraignment.March 3 — A 16-year-old boy allegedly threatened to bring a gun to Grove City High School and shoot a teacher. No one was injured but police later charged the boy with terroristic threats.

State Police, Kittanning5:21 p.m. Monday — A traffic stop in Butler County ended in a drug bust. Police said they seized 43 stamp bags of suspected heroin in the stop on Route 28 in Buffalo Township. Drug-related charges against two Armstrong County men, who police did not identify, are pending toxicology results. One of the men, who was the driver, also was charged with suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

State Police, MercerSunday — Scott Rowe, 60, was arrested on felony assault and other charges after a domestic dispute at his home in the 100 block of Shaffer Road in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County.Rowe was arraigned on charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats, two counts of simple assault, and harassment. He was placed in the Lawrence County Jail on $50,000 bail following arraignment.
