8:31 a.m. Friday — Police said Ashley M. Schaffer, 29, of Boyers was driving west on Station Road in Mercer Township when she failed to see a Honda Civic driven by Zachary Straynick, 28, of Lyndora traveling north on William Flinn Highway. She pulled out in front of Straynick’s vehicle, which hit Schaffer’s Ford Escape. Police said no one was injured, and Schaffer was cited for obedience to traffic control device.

12:16 p.m. Feb. 23 — Police said someone tried to break into the Herman Mini Mart in Summit Township, but was unable to gain entry and fled.

Thursday — Amy Quigley, 36, of Pittsburgh is accused of shoplifting from Walmart on Route 19 three days after getting arrested there for retail theft and being banned from the property.

She allegedly walked out of the store with makeup and a phone charger that were not paid for.

She was charged with misdemeanor trespassing and retail theft.

Thursday — Kurt Camus, 48, of Zelienople was charged with DUI from a Feb. 19 traffic stop. He is also charged with restrictions on alcoholic beverages and careless driving, both summary offenses.

Thursday — Kirstan Herrington, 34, Beaver Falls was charged with theft by bad checks, unlawful taking and receiving stolen property, all misdemeanors.

2:27 a.m. Feb. 21 — A Valencia man is accused of driving drunk and knocking down a speed limit sign.

Jeffrey Griffin, 48, of Valencia is charged with DUI and numerous summary offenses including no rear lights, period for requiring lighted lamps, failure to keep right and driving while license suspended and accidental damage to unattended property after getting pulled over on Three Degree Road.

Officers observed damage to his vehicle and later found a knocked down speed limit sign on Valencia Road, according to court records.

Monday — Jonathan Victor, 23, of Butler was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop March 7. He was also charged with operating a vehicle without a valid inspection.
