Butler County's great daily newspaper

TV show Monday to feature Butler County highlights

The rest of the country will have an opportunity Monday to learn just how “great” Butler County is.

That is because the county will be featured on the television show “World's Greatest, ” which will air 6 a.m. Monday.

Here is where the show will be on: Armstrong customers — Channel 39; Time Warner customers — Channel 18; DirecTV customers — Channel 305; Dish Network customers — Channel 250; Comcast Xfinity customers — Channel 228; and over-the-air — Channel 273.

The show is not available for customers of Consolidated Communications.

Butler and Saxonburg will be featured several months after contributors to the program visited the county to capture some of its sights.

The show, which is “World's Greatest” 225th episode, will feature Diamond Park in Butler, the county courthouse, the trailhead of the Washington Trail in Evans City and the Saxonburg Museum.

It also will include information on the county's annual Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival as presented by Sara DiBello of the county Tourism and Convention Bureau.

Fred Caesar, a borough resident and volunteer with the Saxonburg Historical and Restoration Commission, also spoke in front of the show's cameras about Saxonburg's history.

World's Greatest visits communities around the country and showcases the unique, compelling aspects that make those places great.
