CENTER TOWNSHIP — Steven Zulick of Butler was killed this morning when his truck left Unionville Road and slammed into a tree.

Zulick, 63, was driving east in his 2003 Chevrolet Silverado, just west of Maser Road, when his truck went off the south side of the road and crashed at 221 Unionville Road, according to a state police news release.

Police said they had no reason for why Zulick lost control of his vehicle.

Zulick, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:55 a.m. by Butler County Deputy Coroner John Hanovick.

The investigation is ongoing.
