BUTLER CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE

Butler Church of the Nazarene, 4410 Oakdale Road and Route 68, will have special music Sunday by Debby Shutak.

The Nazarene World Week of Prayer began Feb. 28 and continues until Saturday. Prayers are for a different world area each day with the persecuted church Saturday.

Church members are saving Campbell's labels to help the Native American Christian Academy get a new passenger van.

The teen group, ESCAPE, is collecting rinsed soda cans to help fund its activities.

CHRIST COMMUNITY UNITED METHODIST

The youth group of Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, will participate in 30 hours of famine Friday and Saturday. They will not meet Sunday.

Holy Communion will be observed Sunday at both services.

There will be a finance meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Medium boxes of cereal are being collected as the March food cupboard contribution.

The deadline to order Easter flowers is March 13.

CHRIST'S OUTREACH

Christ's Outreach Church, 120 Walker Ave., will show a movie after the morning worship service Sunday. It will be a brown bag lunch.

Community Life Church holds service at McQuistion Elementary School.

The winter life groups for children and adults will meet through March 19.

The sacrament of the Lord's Supper will be celebrated during the worship service Sunday at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St.

Paul Humphreys will be a guest speaker during the worship service Sunday. He will speak about the Crestfield Camp and Conference Center in Slippery Rock.

Glade Run United Presbyterian Church, 1091 Pittsburgh Road, Valencia, will mark Sunday as Girl Scout Sunday and recognize church members who are Scouts.

GLOW, a monthly youth event for ages 5 to 15, will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Grace@Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St.

Mars United Presbyterian Church, 232 Crowe Ave., Mars, will have a Lenten lunch at noon Friday. The speaker will be Vail Jackson.

The Rev. Bill Jackson will lead services Sunday. The membership and Christian education committees will meet at 12:15 p.m. Sunday.

Middle school youths will meet at 5:30 p.m. and high school youths will meet at 7 p.m. Sunday.

OLD UNION PRESBYTERIAN

Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars, is accepting extra contributions until Palm Sunday to support mission worker Josh Heikkila and his mission work. Donations will be doubled by a matching grant.

Two mission projects are being considered: Peki Seminary in Ghana and student pastor support for the fall.

RIDER LUTHERAN

The steering group of Rider Lutheran Church, 189 Rider Church Road, West Sunbury, will meet at 7 p.m. Monday and the church council will meet at 8 p.m.

There will be a midweek Lenten service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church. A meal and discussion will be at 6 p.m.

SAINT ANDREWS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Congregants of Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St., will visit Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St., at 7 p.m. Wednesday for refreshments and fellowship.

Dinner with Friends will be at 6 p.m. March 12 at the Monroe Hotel, 400 E. Jefferson St. Susan Moon will accept reservations.

The first Sunday mission offering will benefit the Butler County Relief Initiative.

The deadline to order and pay for lilies for the Easter worship service is March 14.

A sign-up sheet for Easter lilies and the Easter breakfast will be available before the Sunday service at St. John's Lutheran Church of Connoquenessing, 100 Main St., Connoquenessing.

The cause of the month is the Tracie Pittman Fund. She is a 15-year-old from Mercer who is suffering from POTS Syndrome.

The BALM Lenten service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Rider Lutheran Church. Dinner and discussion will be at 6 p.m.
