Butler Police2:32 a.m. Sunday — Taylor L. Wilcox, 21, of Muddy Creek Township was arrested after she allegedly assaulted her older sister, Brittany Wilcox, during a domestic dispute at a home on the 500 block of Virginia Avenue.Wilcox is accused of punching her sister on her head and in her face and trying to strangle her with the power cord of a lamp. Brittany Wilco suffered minor injuries.The defendant was arraigned on a charge of simple assault. She is free on $1,500 bail.Friday — Police obtained an arrest warrant for Brooke E. Jackman on charges she forged a Butler man's check for $400 and deposited it into her checking account in September. She subsequently withdrew the money from her account.Jackson is charged with forgery, a felony and theft, a misdemeanor.

Butler Twp PoliceTuesday — Police charged Clayton D. Craft, 57, of Grove City with drunken driving stemming from a two-vehicle crash at 6:27 a.m. Feb. 2 on Route 68.In addition to driving under the influence, Craft is charged with hit-and-run, reckless driving and following too closely to another vehicle.Tuesday — David W. Eberhardt Jr., 24, of Evans City and Cynthia D. Grossman, 34, of Butler were charged in connection with a Feb. 17 shoplifting incident at Walmart in Butler Commons.Police said both suspects were caught placing merchandise, valued at $125, into Grossman's purse. A search of Eberhardt's coat later turned up two syringes and a drug cooking spoon.Both suspects are charged with retail theft. Eberhardt is also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended license.

Grove City PoliceWednesday — A black leather wallet with $55 in it was stolen from Trinity Living Center on Hillcrest Avenue. The theft happened between 9 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-458-7925.Jan. 28 — Two unspecified books were stolen from the Grove City College campus. The books, valued at a combined $165, were taken from a back pack in the Hall of Arts and Letters.

State Police, ButlerMonday — Kenneth P. Stark, 30, of Saxonburg was arrested stemming from a weekend domestic dispute during which he allegedly assaulted a former girlfriend, Donna Hope, at her home on the 300 block of Saxonburg Boulevard in Clinton Township.Hope told police that Stark about 11:50 p.m. Saturday “chest bumped” her before he “head butted” her in the mouth. The suspect also is accused of throwing her to the floor. He left the home.On Sunday, Hope went to the barracks and filed a report. Police said she had a cut and swollen upper lip and scratches on her right arm and shoulder.Troopers later arrested Stark, who was arraigned Monday morning on charges of simple assault and harassment. He was placed in Butler County Prison on $25,000 bail following arraignment.Monday — Police charged David A. Pistorius, 36, of Butler with drunken driving, two weeks after they found him hiding behind a tree outside a Penn Township home where his car got stuck on decorative rocks in the driveway.The homeowner, who lives on the 900 block of Meridian Road, notified authorities shortly after 4 a.m. Feb. 8 about the stranded vehicle in his driveway. Troopers checked the yard and noticed a man hiding behind a tree.The man, identified as Pistorius, told police that he ran out of gas and claimed he knew the homeowner. He admitted to having consumed alcohol earlier that evening, and went into hiding when he saw the police cruiser's flashing lights.Pistorius was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence. Police searched him and found a bag of suspected marijuana. A breath test later showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.127 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law. Pistorius is charged with DUI, possession of a small amount of marijuana and trespass by vehicle.

State Police, Kittanning7:36 a.m. Wednesday — An unidentified black vehicle struck a mailbox after crashing in the front yard of a home on Route 68 just east of Kittanning Hollow Road in Bradys Bend Township. The unknown driver, believed to be a “younger male,” drove off westbound on Route 68.
