PoliceFeb. 16 — Lawrence Hood, 50, of Gibsonia was charged with misdemeanor harassment, communicated repeatedly after he allegedly sent threatening letters to his ex-wife from Allegheny County Jail on numerous occasions.Hood in 2015 was found guilty of stalking and harassment. His ex-wife holds a protection from abuse order.Cranberry Twp. PoliceFeb. 17 — Adam Cowan, 23, of Cranberry Township was charged with DUI with a blood alcohol rate of greater than 0.16, speeding and careless driving after an alleged incident Jan. 21.Feb. 17 — Christine Allen, 36, of Pittsburgh was charged with misdemeanor retail theft and receiving stolen property from an incident Jan. 10.Feb. 17 — Emma Heaney, 34, of Glenshaw, Allegheny County, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia from an incident Feb. 10.Feb. 17 — Marcus Stancik, 29, of Avalon, Allegheny County, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia from an incident Jan. 27.Feb. 17 — Michael Sanfilippo, 49, of Pittsburgh was charged with retail theft from an incident Jan. 28.Feb. 17 — Tara Crocker, 30, of Wexford was charged with misdemeanor retail theft and receiving stolen property Dec. 9.

Zelienople PoliceFeb. 13 — Terry Hubbard, 33, of Rochester, Beaver County, was charged with simple assault and harassment after an alleged incident Feb. 13 at a house on Timberbrook Court.Police were called to the residence by a woman who requested to have an intoxicated man removed. Hubbard allegedly got into an argument with the woman during which he grabbed her by her neck and slammed her into a couch and also punched her in the head.Hubbard told police the woman came at him first. He is free on $2,000 bail.

State Police, Butler2:27 a.m. Friday — Police said a 34-year-old West Sunbury woman was arrested for suspicion of DUI after a traffic stop at the intersection of Route 138 and Dingle Road.11:10 a.m. Friday — Police said a 43-year-old Butler woman was pulled over for a traffic violation on Route 486 in Muddy Creek Township, and subsequently arrested for suspected DUI and possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
