Trade show set Saturday
GROVE CITY — More than 100 businesses — from consultants and sales representatives to manufacturers — are expected to attend the 17th Grove City Trade Show at Grove City College.
The event will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Physical Learning Center, 100 Campus Drive. Admission is $1 for adults, 18 and older.
Beth Black, executive director of the Grove City Area Chamber of Commerce, said the event should draw thousands of visitors who turn out to see what’s going on in their community’s economy. It also offers a chance to socialize and learn about community businesses.
“It’s really popular because it’s a break in the winter,” she said. “It just gives people something to do. I think people really enjoy the opportunity to get to know the businesses and see what’s new.”
Visitors will have a chance to win a door prize from each vendor, Black said. The event also will include a raffle for a $2,000 “money tree” prize that will go to one person.
New this year will be giving surprise gifts to the first 100 attendees who are age 18 or older.
Black said one of the fastest-growing sectors of the show is consultants and one representative per type is accepted.
The show will offer free shuttle service from the college’s parking lot to the show’s entrance.
