HARMONY — Borough council member Jarod Stewart has resigned.

Stewart sent his resignation letter to council, who approved it Tuesday evening. He is resigning for personal reasons.

Stewart was in the middle of his first term, which will be up at the end of 2017.

“We will certainly miss his financial guidance,” council President Greg Such said.

Council has 30 days to appoint someone as a replacement. If it is unable to do so, a vacancy officer will attempt to appoint a replacement within 15 days.
