State police are investigating a vandalism spree in northern Butler County.

The unknown vandals early Friday morning smashed mailboxes, signs and windows on several roads in Washington and Venango townships, police said. The vandalism occurred between 1 and 3 a.m. on Hilliards, Pisor, Christie and Annisville roads.

Police have no suspects, who possibly were riding around in a loud truck. Investigators did not immediately provide a damage estimate or indicate the number of victims.
