Mars bowlers win youth doubles

PITTSBURGH — Jason Hartenstein and Alaina Nagel of Mars Lanes won the under 250 handicapped division of the Butler County USBC Youth Doubles Tournament held recently at Pines Plaza Lanes.

Hartenstein carries a 126 average and had games of 190 and 180. Nagel carries a 106 average and bowled a 159.

Nick and Chris Huff of Sherwood Lanes won the 251 & Up handicapped division with a 1,508. Their scratch total was 1,285.

Nick Huff carries a 192 average and produced a 703 series, rolling games of 248, 266 and 189.

In other tournament notes:

Andrew Wehner of Pines Plaza began a game by tossing a gutter ball and went on to roll a 269.

Hayden Shirley of Family Bowlaway has a 95 average and rolled a 146 as he teamed with Jonathan Wilbert to place third in under 250 handicapped.

Brenden Lampo of Pines Plaza averages 167 and rolled a 279. He teamed with Jonathan Kleer to place second in the 251 & up handicapped.

Allison Bruce of Mars Lanes averages 161 and rolled a 245. Baylee Verner of Family Bowlaway and Sherwood Lanes averages 163 and rolled a 221.

Also turning in high scores over average were Hali Hartley of Mars Lanes (197, 147-average), Amiee Gmuer of Pines Plaza (225, 173-average) and Thomas Angello Jr. of Family Bowlaway (183, 127-average).
