Delta expands serviceIMPERIAL — Delta Air Lines is expanding its service from Pittsburgh International Airport to Paris this travel season. Delta has offered seasonal flights from the Pittsburgh airport to Charles de Gaulle Airport since 2009.This year, the service will run seven days a week from May 1 and run through Oct. 29.Last year, the Paris flights began May 10 and were offered only five days a week until the seven-days-a-week service kicked in from June 15 until early September. After that, the service de-escalated to five days a week and three days a week through October.

Investor touts Macy’s propertyNEW YORK — Activist investor Starboard Value wants Macy’s to tap the value of its real estate assets by splitting them off into separate companies.Starboard’s plan published Monday urges the department store operator to create two joint ventures. One would hold its properties in New York, San Francisco and other major cities, while the other would hold its mall properties. Altogether, Starboard said the department store’s real estate is worth about $21 billion.Creating the joint ventures with real estate partners could boost the value of Macy’s stock to $70, Starboard said, nearly double what it’s currently worth. Starboard has a 1 percent stake in Macy’s, according to FactSet.

AT&T offers unlimited dataNEW YORK — AT&T is once again experimenting with offering unlimited data plans to smart phone customers while promoting its DirecTV service, signaling a potential reversal of industry trends toward data caps and charges for big video watchers.AT&T is trying to capitalize on its $48.5 billion purchase of DirecTV last year. It’s announcing an unlimited data plan for cellphones, if you also get DirecTV or AT&T’s home-TV service, U-verse.The unlimited data deal may be cheaper than AT&T’s limited-data plan if you have a family that watches a lot of video and want cable.

Powerball jackpot $1.4BBuying a Powerball ticket now offers the chance to daydream about spending the largest lottery jackpot in the world — some $1.4 billion.Ticket sales were brisk before Saturday’s $949.8 million drawing, and the interest has only grown since then in the 44 participating states, as well as the District of Columbia, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.The jackpot for the twice-weekly game started at $40 million on Nov. 4 and has been growing ever since.Gary Grief with the Texas Lottery, which is part of the Multi-State Lottery Association, said the $1.4 billion figure is definitely the world’s largest.
